During 1953 The Al-Thaqeb family started their business in different segments including: real estate, general trading, contracting, food, ready-made garments and international investments.
In 1972 Al-Thaqeb spun off the trading activity by establishing the Al Thaqeb Trading Company. Its scope was in the distribution and marketing of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).
